As a Public Benefits Specialist, you will be responsible for managing clients’ government benefits such as Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, and food assistance. You will be preparing applications, responding to requests for information during the application process, providing information to verify continuing disability, and staying updated on policy changes and regulations.
This is a full-time, on-site role at our Bingham Farms, MI office.
Responsibilities
- Apply online and in person for Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for clients.
- Receive and review correspondence from Social Security and MDHHS.
- Respond to requests for information and proof by providing medical records.
- Appear in person for appointments at our local Social Security and MDHHS office to provide information as requested.
- Maintain client information and files in an organized manner, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Maintain records and report on client benefits.
- Assist with client budget management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Social Security benefits, Medicare, Medicaid, and other State and Federal entitlement programs.
- Strong budgeting and financial acumen.
- Experience in assisting individuals with benefit applications and inquiries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to stay informed about changes in government benefit programs.
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in benefit program management are a plus.
Compensation
$55,000 - $70,000

The Accounting Manager will serve as the organization’s financial leader, responsible for evaluating existing accounting systems, workflows, and controls, identifying gaps or risks, and implementing enhanced processes across the business. This role requires a blend of analytical expertise, hands‑on operational capability, and the ability to design and enforce strong financial governance in a fiduciary environment. This role will also include the management of employees who are performing various financial tasks. This role will report directly to the CEO.
This job centers around producing timely, accurate, and high-quality results. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The Accounting Manager will have hands-on involvement as well as oversight of others. When managing others, the role will require discipline, precise feedback, and careful delegation. The Accounting Manager must carefully balance getting the job done quickly and getting it done right, even if that creates healthy conflict.
This is a full time role in our Bingham Farms, Michigan office. This is not a remote position.
Compensation:
$75,000 - $115,000 depending on experience

Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

- Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliation practices, and financial reporting
- Experience in fiduciary services, legal practices, or regulated environments preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in internal controls, workflow design, and financial process improvement
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership and team management abilities

Position Summary
The Social Worker/Guardian Representative will work within an attorney's office specializing in guardianships and conservatorships. This role involves supporting clients in navigating legal processes related to guardianship and conservatorship, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and providing guidance and advocacy for clients' best interests.
Daily duties consist of assisting the Guardian with making arrangements for the care and custody of the client (an impaired adult with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or dementia) by making sure their daily needs are met and they are getting the care they need.
Ensure compliance with state regulations and legal requirements.
Provide guidance and support to clients and their families
Make decisions using best judgment in key areas of client’s life, and follow through on decisions made for wards such as living arrangements, medical decisions, quality of life improvements, etc.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records
Manage and maintain a case load of client and complete all required documentation under the supervision of the Director of Guardianship Services
Make visits to clients within and outside their home setting (i.e. nursing home, group home, independent living, assisted living, apartment, house, public environments, etc).
Coordinate and/or attend inter-disciplinary care conferences
Attend medical appointments
Provide oversight of clients plan of care
Participate and attend required company meetings
Manage multiple and conflicting schedules to ensure meetings are scheduled with required participants, locations, technology etc.
Ensure requests for responses and other feedback are met, proactively check deadlines on incoming requests and use best judgment in making decisions.
Maintain confidentiality
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
Experience in legal or social services preferred
Strong understanding of guardianship and conservatorship laws in Michigan and national guardianship standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience working with traumatically brain-injured or developmentally disabled individuals
Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information
Annual certification is required
Able to work in challenging situations. The job includes driving to appointments and taking clients to appointments. Driver’s license and insurance required.
Able to navigate stairs

$30-$40/hour
